Pilates and Core Strength

Pilates is a form of exercise that focuses on improving strength, flexibility and balance. It is designed to keep backs, joints and muscles in optimum health and function. It aims to strengthen the body in an even way, with particular emphasis on core strength to improve general fitness and wellbeing. Pilates exercises are done on a mat or using special equipment which can provide either resistance or support, depending on one’s needs.

At Breakspear Osteopathy & Pilates, we practice a uniquely effective method of Pilates based on osteopathy aimed at helping you function optimally and stay free of aches and pains. We offer:

  • 1-1 lessons
  • Group classes
  • Live online video classes
  • Free Pilates videos on YouTube

We recommend that clients looking to join a group class start with a 1-1 session during which we can assess your level, teach you the basics and identify the areas you most need to work on. We can even record a video of the exercises covered during the session for you to keep on your smartphone.

Located in Prestwood, Great Missenden, Buckinghamshire, and serving areas like Hazlemere / Penn / Tylers Green, Amersham, Beaconsfield, Gerrards Cross, Little Chalfont, Chalfont St. Giles, Kingshill and High Wycombe, our pilates classes have a great reputation for helping you improve your core strength and stay free of pain.

If you would like to improve your general fitness and wellbeing through pilates, we can help you in an optimally COVID-safe, private environment. For appointments and more information, call reception on 01494 813700 or email us at breakspearclinic@osteopilates.co.uk.
