Pilates and Core Strength
Pilates is a form of exercise that focuses on improving strength, flexibility and balance. It is designed to keep backs, joints and muscles in optimum health and function. It aims to strengthen the body in an even way, with particular emphasis on core strength to improve general fitness and wellbeing. Pilates exercises are done on a mat or using special equipment which can provide either resistance or support, depending on one’s needs.
At Breakspear Osteopathy & Pilates, we practice a uniquely effective method of Pilates based on osteopathy aimed at helping you function optimally and stay free of aches and pains. We offer:

We recommend that clients looking to join a group class start with a 1-1 session during which we can assess your level, teach you the basics and identify the areas you most need to work on. We can even record a video of the exercises covered during the session for you to keep on your smartphone.
